A client came to us from Abbotsford with a 2014 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring edition motorcycle. The customer wanted audio for his bike and a navigation device as well. A challenge with this motorcycle audio upgrade was that the bike had no fairing to hide the components and no previous existing audio equipment for wiring and mounting locations.
We tackled adding a GPS by installing a Garmin Zumo portable navigation unit onto the center of the handlebars.
For the audio upgrade we chose a headless install by utilizing a compact Kenwood marine bluetooth amplifier with a wired controller. This is a perfect solution for motorcycles, ATV’s and side-by-sides. The amplifier was installed in one of the side bags and the controller was mounted on the left hand side of the handlebar by the stock thumb controls for ease of access and use. The speakers we installed are Kicker handlebar speakers in a chrome finish specifically made for mounting to motorcycle handlebars.
The result was awesome! The Moto Guzzi looks almost stock, with a nice, discreet appearance and unique solutions for mounting and hiding the equipment. If you would like to inquire about an audio upgrade for your Moto Guzzi or any other motorcycle or want to schedule an appointment, we invite to to come in or Contact Us.
