A client from Chilliwack recently contacted the team at Certified Autosound and Security to inquire about upgrading the audio system in his 2019 Polaris RZR XP Turbo S. This two-seat off-roader includes a 7-inch touchscreen in the dash with the Polaris Ride Command interface. Along with controls for the vehicle suspension system and GPS navigation, Ride Command includes Bluetooth and USB support to play music. The client wanted the stereo to not only play a lot louder, but sound better.
Polaris RZR Stage 5 Stereo Upgrade

After inspecting the vehicle and talking to the client about his performance expectations for the stereo upgrade, we suggested the Rockford Fosgate RZR Stage 5 audio upgrade package designed specifically for vehicles with Ride Command. The client loved the plan and gave us the go-ahead to install and configure the system.
The RZR14RC-STAGE5 package includes an audio interface designed specifically for Ride Command to extract a clean audio signal and prevent any turn-on pops or clicks. The output of the interface feeds into a 1,000-watt, five-channel TMX1000X5ad amplifier. This amp powers the front and rear speakers with up to 100 watts of power while providing 600 watts of power to the system subwoofer. Our technicians mounted the amp using the supplied hardware in the area just behind the dashboard.
Premium Speakers for Amazing Sound
The RZR14RC-STAGE5 kit includes a total of four speaker enclosures and custom subwoofer enclosure. The front speaker pods mount under the dash in the kick panel area and use Punch Series 6.5-inch PM2652B coaxial drives. For the rear, Rockford includes a set of its PM2652W-MB 6.5-inch coaxial speaker pods and dedicated mounting brackets.
The icing on the cake for this audio system is the RFRZ14-FWE subwoofer enclosure. This roto-molded composite enclosure fits into the passenger-side dash of the vehicle and doesn’t take up any leg space in the footwell. The vented design offers amazingly deep bass output from the T1S2-10 10-inch subwoofer.
Expert Side-by-Side Installations
While Rockford includes all the wire harnesses required to install the system, it’s a lot of work to mount all the equipment, and run and protect all the power and cables properly. Once everything was secured in place, our technicians set to work configuring the crossovers and level adjustments on the amplifier to deliver amazing sound and excellent reliability.
The client was more than thrilled with the Rockford Stage 5 audio upgrade package he chose for his Polaris RZR XP Turbo S.
